We had the pleasure in meeting one of the most hilariously ruthless viral comedians of the last 10 years since Instagram has been popular, a man that started his career by making people laugh and grabbing contract with big names like the show business king manager Mr Dhanny Joshi AKA Big Deal Films company Bafta award winning Management working with actors like Adam Deacon and many more.
Mr Omar Mohidin who’s comedy name is PSYCHOMAR on his channel PSYCHOMARTV was joined in our studio speaking to us about how he has transformed his social media account in to a multi-million-pound empire spanning from online revenue to property development, Restaurants, Bars and his most recent success Battersea Power Station Car Wash in the world-famous Battersea Power Development home to the Universally known Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

The pleasure is all mine Katrina, thank you for having me and your kind words, it’s nice to be recognised for the countless years of hard work and hours of trying to explain to police officers why the hell I’m making a total prat of myself in public for…..Hahahaha (puts his hand on his head in shame) The honest truth is I’ve always put a lot of planning in to executing my art and it’s made me put regiment in to my businesses too and Instagram has really made me in to a structured CEO of all my ventures.
People from my background and neighbourhood never got the full support of the community leaders to strive into an educational future so we always had to come up with ways to make money to provide for our families, I was raised in West London, and it was always a struggle to make ends meet and I was always a bit of the funny guy around my family and peers. When Instagram came about, I used to post up my normal behaviour and I saw that in a matter of a year my followers started to grow and evolve, and I never took it seriously until I saw that my online friends started turning in to die-hard fans that wanted more and more of things that I posted.
I turned this over the years from having a laugh in to an influencing career for other people businesses and I saved up enough to start my own businesses and have my loyal fans and followers come to me instead of me directing them to someone else to eat the pie.
This has worked out successfully for me and it brought me closer to the people that made this all happen, will forever be grateful to them.
Appreciation is everything as we can see, these philosophy of your is interesting as its everything we don’t see with you on social media, so is PSYCHOMAR a character and this is you? Little bit like Sacha Baron Cohen aka Ali G?
I think you hit the hammer on the nail Katrina, I am an actor at the end of the day when it comes to my comedy, and I’ve been inside the industry now professionally for nearly 6 years working with iconic celebrities that I’ve learnt to take pieces of advice from and implicate that in my own career and its starting to show off.
People Like Sacha (Ali G) are inspirational professionals because his character is worlds apart from his normal intellectual successful self, having the transition away from this alter ego is quite healthy and brings me great joy to see people laugh and be shocked when they meet me in person. My future is looking bright as a comedian but in case it doesn’t work out then I will be continuing my expansion of my businesses.
As you can imagine it’s hard for an Arab man to be accepted by a lot of people in my culture, but I’ve stopped caring about what negativity come from them and start caring about the people that tell me that I bring a smile to their face and change their days.
